Now days many people are facing credssp encryption oracle remediation problem when you take remote desktop connection , credssp stands for Credential Security Support Provider Protocol , It is an authentication provider that processes authentication requests for other application. Now lets talk about the problem.
When we try to establish an insecure remote desktop connection, and the insecure remote desktop connection is blocked by an encryption oracle remediation policy setting on the server or client . This type of setting defines how to build an remote desktop session by using CREDSSP, & whether insecure remote desktop is allowed.
This seems caused by the client Windows is patched with a CredSSP (Credential Security Support Provider protocol) update for CVE-2018-0886
On March 13,2018 , Microsoft release an updates CredSSP authentication protocol and the Remote Desktop clients for all affected platforms .
Microsoft recommended that admin apply the policy and set it to ” Forced updated clients” or “Mitigated” on client & server computer as soon as possible . Reboot is recommended after applying this setting.
I strongly suggest not to compromise the server-side security, but mitigate it from client Windows temporarily. You should patch the server-side or ask server administrator to patch it.
